Nutrition and Health Coach Glory Chinaecherem Uzoigwe has launched Wholesome Maternal Nutrition, a new venture dedicated to supporting families in navigating maternal and child health through structured dietary guidance.
The initiative builds on Uzoigwe’s years of engagement with families through her distribution company, Cheersandsunshine Nig Ltd, which has supplied baby essentials locally and internationally for more than six years. During this period, she encountered recurring concerns from mothers about nutrition, misdiagnosis, autism, and deficiencies, leading her to establish a professional platform to address those needs.
“Many mothers we meet share challenges ranging from nutrition-related health issues to misdiagnoses, autism, and dietary deficiencies,” Uzoigwe said at the launch. “Wholesome Maternal Nutrition was born to provide families with professional guidance and ensure they understand not just what their children consume, but why it matters for their future.”
The company’s work spans the full spectrum of maternal and child care — from preconception through prenatal and postnatal stages. It provides families with support in areas such as breastfeeding challenges, diet-induced allergies, complementary feeding, and neurodivergent conditions. Its model blends the science of nutrition with practical support for the emotional realities faced by parents.
“Our goal is to stand with families in moments of uncertainty,” Uzoigwe added. “Whether a mother is navigating breastfeeding challenges or a parent is worried about dietary-induced allergies, we want them to know that there is a safe space to ask questions and receive professional guidance.”
Uzoigwe’s academic and professional background underpins the initiative. She holds a BSc in Microbiology from Madonna University Elele, a Master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from the United States, a Master Certificate in Infant and Young Child Feeding, and a Diploma in Professional Nutrition and Health Coaching from Ireland. She is also a certified Autism Specialist and a member of the Complementary International Medical Association.
Beyond consultations, Wholesome Maternal Nutrition offers educational workshops and one-on-one coaching designed to equip parents with knowledge and practical tools. According to Uzoigwe, the venture aims to create a supportive environment where families can make informed nutritional decisions with confidence.
“As a mother or caregiver, you deserve to feel confident about the choices you make for your child,” she said. “That confidence comes from having access to the right knowledge, delivered with care and compassion.”
The introduction of Wholesome Maternal Nutrition underscores the rising demand for professional guidance on maternal and child health in Nigeria, offering families a structured pathway to healthier living.
